One good way to know is if you hear chirping from the egg.

eggs due to hatch dec 21...hey Flash...

Hatch finished!!! Unsure of the breeds as the eggs were given to me. 4 happy healthy chicks, 2 did not hatch. Setting 9 more this evening!!!

Question: How do you tell if has internally pipped?

sometimes I can hear them but if I use an incubator with clear plastic sides or top I can use my strong little flashlight and point it at an egg from outside and light up the air cell, I saw two with their little bills in the air cell.

I just went to check again and no external pips on the ducks but one of the Sultans has hatched and ones working in it's way out
