I just set 41 Cochin and Cochin cross eggs yesterday so I will be joining you guy! They are due December 8th!

What are your Cochins crossed with?

What are your Cochins crossed with?

I don't know, their mother is a cochin cross but I don't remember what she was crossed with. Their fathers are full Cochin so the babies will 75% cochin.

Evening we candled tonight and so far out of 16 set looks like 10 are looking great! The other 6 well I will give them a few more days but here's a great veining picture of one of my EE so eggcited!

set more quail last night... moved this next weekends batch into lockdown

I'm down to 5 Marans eggs out of 11. two were clear and one was an early quitter but I recently lost 3 from higher than expected temps (couldn't keep the incubator temps down). the button quail are doing fantastic though

I will have about 40 hatching Dec 2 I had 60 but after checking in day 8. We had 20 bad eggs, un- fertilized, few cracks and few blood rings...

Those Marans are tricky to incubate, sorry you lost so many. Fingers crossed the others will hatch!

Yeah today’s day 8 for me as well. There are a few that still haven’t developed but I think I’ll wait till day ten to toss them. It looks like there may be some blood rings as well. I know the humidity has been a bit high. Is this egg still developing? I see some veins but that looks like a ring.
