DECEMBER Hatch-A-Long!😊

Pics
Well, we're about 8 hours into Day 20 and we have one fluffer (hatched almost 4 hours ago), 10 pipped and 2 not yet showing any signs yet of pipping. This little girl (maybe?) is tired and just wants someone else to come out already...

This is my absolute last hatch for the year... I mean it this time! :old

36 button quail eggs shipped from Louisiana to California. Set this afternoon, so due on the 17th. Teeny dark little things, so candling is pretty much out of the question. I'll probably have to hunt out baddies by sniff testing. :sick Yay.

Chick #2 (Legbar x Olive Egger--we'll call her an Olive-Bar) pipped 9 1/2 hours ago, and finally hatched at 7:15pm US Central Time. Here's the finale...

I put up a "fence" in the incubator to be sure I could keep track of which chicks hatched from which eggs. They pulled on my heartstrings a bit when the first 2 to hatch were on opposite sides of the fence...

Then, hatch #2 immediately crashed...

They are adorable! Maybe you can put leg bands on them so they don’t have to be apart!😍
