DECEMBER Hatch-A-Long!😊

A couple of other eggs (mix of bantams) in a different incubator from the serama eggs, that I was sure had been cooked by a temp spike, are showing development! Those eggs had horrendous air cells from shipping and overnight on the first night of incubation the temp spiked to 104 F, which I discovered in the morning. :eek:I was absolutely convinced that nothing would come of them, so finding that two are actually showing development is crazy. If these hatch then they should be around Christmas as well!

So exciting! Hope they continue to develop for you. 🥰

I have little fuzzy footers! One needs the adjustment cup because it can't seem to keep it's self up. It looks like I have a few Lemon-blue and one full black.

Awesome! :clap Whew — good thing you didn’t just chuck out those eggs!

I had to share some pics from my 12.7 hatch - first is the splay-leg baby and the curled-feet baby doing some cup time to get them strengthening those legs!

Second pic is I had to put the brooder babies back into the incubator to warm up while I rigged up a way to put the heat plate even lower, because they were COLD! And one of the stripey brats was posing, and the other was cuddling up to the cup for warmth!

Love the attitude from the poser!🥰

I have gotten to the point that I tend not to pull anything unless I see a definite blood ring before day 14.... unless I need the space in the incubator  then sometimes I pull em earlier for non starters
