Hi! My name is Dani, and I live in northeast Illinois near Gurnee.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I do not have chickens at this time, but have always intrigued, and am in an area that allows them now, so I am researching what I would need and learning at the moment.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? Only the ones in my minds eye lol
(3) What breeds do you have? N/a
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? The idea of having them as a resource but also they seem cute
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Gardening, crochet, and reading. I am also dabbling in streaming / social media / content creation.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Home base currently consists of myself and 9yo daughter, and our three cats. I’m currently a school bus driver and delivery driver. I am a born and raised city girl but prefer being outside working on a project or just enjoying nature more than the hustle of the masses lol
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? I was recommended here by the neighborhood chicken keepers Facebook group when asking for resources for information while I decide if this is something I can do.
