Falling Down Heights, my daily life

Second litter born, if a bit later than an hour. Only five, but they are big and fat!

These are from the litter born last night. First pic are the non-Rex, second pic are the Rex:

And these are from today, all Rex:

Can't wait for them to start getting fur!

I haven't posted in a bit, guess I should.

On a nice day almost two weeks ago, I cleaned the rabbit cages and chopped some of the ice/snow accumulation on the back deck where their cages are. Following day I wake up with a stiff and sore neck and right shoulder. Bad enough that I couldn't turn my head to the left and had limited movement in my shoulder.

I'm *still* sore. I can at least move my head, but the shoulder hurts like heck. Also makes it difficult to sleep. Constantly tossing and turning due to pain.

I have no idea what I did to injure myself like this. And no, I have not gone to see a doctor.

In brighter news, still more babies born! Last ones were yesterday during the night. I have two does that haven't taken yet, but my friend keeps trying with them. So, total of six litters right now.

Long-range forecast is looking alright, mostly above freezing for March. I may breed the does I have here around mid-month!

Ouch! That’s simply unfair. Hope you’re feeling better now :hugs .

Isn’t it a myth or something of the sort that if you take your doe on a short drive around the block she will go into heat? Maybe your friend can try that as a last resort:p. Six litters, not bad at all!

I've heard that too! Never tried it, and I don't think my friend is going to go to that length, yet. She managed to get one of the reluctant does to breed, as well as the one that gave birth a few days ago (because she killed her litter!!!). So, back down to five litters right now.

Shoulder and neck still sore, but a bit better. Still having trouble sleeping (I look like death warmed over). As soon as the pain meds wear off I'm awake. Finding new and novel ways to position myself for sleep.

Looks like Spring is here, at least for the short term! It's even supposed to go up above 10 C a few days in the coming week!

:wee
