Decorating For Christmas!

White Christmas is on the whole time I'm putting up stuff. And all this talk about it makes me want to do it when I get home. lol

This random ramble thread exists because I need as many people to be on my side of the "It's never too early to decorate for Christmas before thanksgiving". Please vote! You will make my day! Please post here too!

We decorate after Thanksgiving.

Let me try to put it a little differently. What I mean is I don’t agree with doing those things before Thanksgiving, and so don’t like having it crammed down my throat by retailers, etc. Especially when I feel they only do it to make a buck, not because they care about Christmas and what it means to some people. That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be able to do it in the privacy of your own home if that is what makes you happy.

That makes more sense! I don't really like christmas items in stores in sumer either. it looks (to me, it may not be that way) like the store didn't have enough sales for that stuff and so they have to sell it in the summer. If I want to go christmas decor shopping in august, I will go to a christmas tree shop. sadly, our local one closed up during covid

after the 23rd, me and mom are going to decorate. we have a very disinterested dad (he doesn't even help my mom put up our 9 foot tree ), but it's 2 against one (and I have pretty much the whole of BYC on my side, and a thread to prove it), so I think me and my mom will win the decorating fight.

ah. you are lucky. you get hobby lobbys and all the other really nice craft stores. up here, we are stuck with dollar sores and Joanns. We can have as many chickens as we want, but we can never find good craft stores
