Decorating Help.... Two Different Quilts, Which Wall Color?

Quote:
Love it! I just saw the thread today and my first thought upon reading the original post, was to use a light pale, yet bold (not pastel) yellow. Beige looks too dingey with brighter colors (from experience!!!! Our house is largely beige and I am about sick of it). The color you posted is exactly what popped in my head!!! Gorgeous!!

I'm glad you approve. I think it's light, but actually gold rather than yellow, and not orangey or dingy. Now, to get those walls prepped and buy the paint! I'll post pics when we get it finished with one of the quilts on the bed (finished or not, LOL).

Cyn, your quilts are gorgeous too!! DH bought me a new sewing machine for Xmas and we need a new bed spread before next winter! Maybe I will attempt to make a quilt for our bed!

Oooooh the lemon grass is beautiful! But after all your work, maybe pay extra for higher quality paint. We have painted a lot in the past 4 years. The WalMart/Kilz brand paints did not perform well at all, now we're too busy to redo it, and we're living with cheap blotchy patchy walls which flake dust all the time. And the color didn't last, it faded out. But the walls we did with the better paint (Benjamin Moore? I can't remember) are still fantastic.

i agree w/ 6chickens....
it isnt worth it to save a few bucks when it comes to painting...
as for me my brand is porter paint...especially the hi-hide....
but you should be able to take your paint swatch to any paint store and they should be able to match it...
take your time on the prep work...thats the most important step since all the rest is based on it...have fun
