Decorating your coop ***UPDATED*** added pics!

your coop is beautiful... i need so much help... As far as i can tell ill be alone in this project except for my papa who might help... i have 2 windows.. you couldnt see in the pic.. What color should i paint though? and i think i might put a whiteboard over the table..

I'm partial to lighter colors, but not white. Go to Home Depot, look at the chips and see what turns you on. You could always do a light, reflective color in the coop area and a deeper, more personal color in the human section. Not all the walls have to be the same color. I'd probably paint the floor too, but maybe add a little bit of sand for traction or buy a floor paint. You could also simply oil the floor...

Do you want actual color combinations? What is your personal style?

well... im 13. I think the red aand white looks REALLY nice but its not original.... I would like to do something bright but not overwhelming like lime green....

my favorite colors....

-hot pink XD
-purple
-burgandy
-blue
-orange
-yellow
-red
-eggplant
-indigo...

i cant think of any more.. but i really want a bright color... nothing like dark blue...

An alternative to peliglass that is inexpensive is the heavy duty clear plastic you buy at Walmart that people used to use cover cushions, tablecloths etc. It is 54" wide and you could peg it on for the winter.

Well, personally I think lime green would be pretty overwhelming, so if you like it bright, then I'd keep it to a single wall. That's okay - a quart of paint should take care of it. Do lime green gloss on the back wall of the chicken coop (opposite the door), and then keep the other walls pretty neutral, if not white. I'd actually go high gloss white. The green wall is going to be the first thing you see when you walk in. You could paint your table green to tie it together. For more ideas, check out the coop page on BYC.
