deep litter method in summer

I dlm in winter but will it generate too much heat in the summer? It gets in the 100's here.

I didn't have a problem with it last summer. I did run a fan to circulate air and often put in milk jugs of frozen water for them to lie against.

I use the deep litter method in the winter but abandon in the summer, the girls spend all their waking hours in the run. They only come in to roost and lay eggs.
So save a little money.

I only do it for the winter and summer I clean it as needed.

Thanks for the info. Guess I'll be keeping it clean too. It certainly is hot enough without the extra.
