I recently learned about the deep litter method from a fellow byc member. I'm very interested in this method for my run but I do have a question (just one for now). My run is covered with a tin roof; therefore, gets very little moisture and sunlight. I know with compost, water is essential, so will the deep litter method work in a dry run or do I need to spray it down sometimes? TIA :)

Meh, I'd say you're fine. If it gets intolerable you can spritz it. I use it in my run, and the rain kind of gets on my nerves.

We do Deep Litter in our run which has a solid roof. There is enough rain (and snow) that blows in for decomposing. I've never needed to mist.
