Chickens are very cold hardy. What you really need to worry about is ventilation in such a small coop. A lot of moisture comes from their poop and their breath and that can cause frostbite.

It does have little vent slider windows which I've kept fully open all summer. I'm thinking I might have to put wider roosting bars and lower them a bit.

Can you post pictures of your coop and give us the dimensions or a link to its product page?

I've never seen a prefab that came with decent ventilation. You probably should cut some larger vents before winter but it would really help if we could see what it looks like.

I think 5 feet by 5 feet. I tried to find the coop on line but not having any luck.

If the HC is 1/2" that's not possible, the window would be approximately a 20" square. Where did you buy it, can you link to its product page?
