Good morning,

It has been 7 days since I discovered that one of my hens had a deep wound below the cloaca. She seems to be doing fine, eating heartily and responding well to my treatment. I am concerned that her intestine continues to protrude and although I am making every effort to keep the area clean, moist with the antibiotic and honey creams, even Vitamin E oil, and push it in, I think she may need a couple of stitches to hold it in place. It seems there may be a need to close a couple of planes of tissue. My main concern is financial. Should I just give this matter time? Those of you with experience, do you think this has gone as far as it can and requires help in closing? Thank you.

Welcome to the family first off.:frow
We all understand financial strains!:hugs
Close up, detailed pics of the area would be most helpful if you can get some. It's very hard to determine the need for stitching based only on description. Can you post any?

The pic didn't post..:idunno
They did, they're just zipped.
Here I uploaded them for those who don't have access to a zipping utility.
