Deep wounds, crop wont empty, now not eating or drinking. NOT DOING WELL!

Stephanie has been very alert and likes to be up and around which is great.... But she still doesn't wanna eat on her own. Started tube feeding her yesterday which definitely isn't my favorite thing to do!

Still limping which is making me nervous, I'm not sure why she was in the first place but it's not improving at all. No sign of wounds on her legs.

Wounds look ok for the most part. She took most the staples on the worst one... I don't see any sign of infection but it still looks super nasty and bruised.

She also made a friend :)

Yeah the vet gave me some Metacam for her. I just want her to start eating and drinking and I will feel better.

She could just stare at herself for hours!

Well, it has been a week since it happened... I cant believe its been that long already! I guess it is great she has made it this far and this long but I am disappointed I am not seeing any improvements with her limping and she still is not wanting to eat or drink on her own. The wounds look good, no sign of infection I dont think. I dont know if I should be still doing something with them or not, cleaning them with betadine or adding neosporin? I have been putting neosporin on them every so often. Luckily she has left the staples alone on the very deep opening that is closed up now.

I just dont know why she isnt eating. Any thoughts? She seems to be good for the most part! She is very alert and responsive. She likes to sit a lot but I think that might be more because of her leg. Is she still just traumatized? Too much pain to eat? Or just failing to thrive and get through it? She is a picky eater in general and she has worried me in the past not eating much during her molt, which she is molting right now too. AGHHH.

Maybe she will eat more if she was with her flockmates? When would be an ok time to add her back in? She is heading back to my hometown on Wednesday night which will be 10 days but I could keep her indoors until Day 14 for sure if needed. She is on top of the pecking order so that will be in her favor, maybe they will be less likely to pick on her. There are just 2 others which are quite flighty and afraid of her. haha

Any feedback would be great right now, as I am nervous about all this and not sure what to do at this point

If the flock is small and she's on top maybe she could go back, but id be hesitant because of the leg... If someone did pick at her she might have a hard time getting away. Have you tried cook veggies? My birds go nuts for cook veggies, potatoes, rice and pasta...

Ummmm OK. KINDA FREAKING NOW.

I was holding her and put my hand right below her butt and felt crusty poo so I figured I should cut it out. NO, its another wound thats deep and nasty... definitely infected. Plus its RIGHT below her butt so how the heck do i keep it clean!?

And how do I go about cleaning up a week old deep infected sore?! I just cut some feathers away and sprayed it with betadine and packed it with neosporin. AHHH I have no idea what to do :(

Will attach a pic soon
