Hey I gave my 2 white roos away last week...one of my 2 blues that I bought from someone here in NH[ who said they were both girls] started to crow today...

the blues are younger than the whites...Well I guess fate wants me to have a roo...this one is friendlier anyway...

i have some standard cochin chicks a few weeks old, blacks, splash. for sale if anyone is interested?

ChicknI was told he was a blue when I bought him... I still cant tell the different colors...blue gray lavender frizzle partridge???? I guess I need to get a book on Silkies and the colors they come inI do plan on bringing him but he may not be what you want...I am looking for a pullet to replace him...any color....




Chickn my wonderful little roo put his life on the line today when my neighbors dog got into the yard...I cannot give away such a brave silkie boy...he is fine, just a bit tramatized...lost two wing feathers....he delibertly put himself in front of the girls and lured the dog away from his girls!!!
I do still plan on coming to Deerfield check it all out maybe find another wife for my brave little silkie boy

I have some birds for sale including:
A trio of White Rock Bantams from show stock
A quad of Black Tailed White Japs good typey birds
2 trios of Production Rouens
several Red Golden Pheasants
several standard Light Brahmas (young)

I am only going to bring sale birds if someone is interested since it is a long ride for me and for birds to ride in the back of the truck. Please let me know if and what you are interested in.

I fell in love with a Rhode Island Red hen who is a beautiful and friendly bird. She is 16 weeks old and loves to sit on my lap when we visit the chicken coop.

Actually, we got some very beautiful birds with the help of Brian at Sugar Hill Poultry in NH. He was very helpful and informative.

How young are the standard Light Brahmas?

My husband and I are trying to locate some Wyandottes.....gold, silver, and blue laced so if anybody has any of those we would love to see them.
