We have four hens. One of them is laying a very thin shelled egg every day. All other eggs have strong shells. What is this hen lacking? Most days she must be stepping on the egg while exiting the nest box. Sometimes the egg is broken in the box.

Hello and a very belated welcome to BYC! :frow
I would give her 630 mg of calcium citrate every day until she starts to lay a good egg with a strong shell. Then stop with a calcium and see if she can hold steady.

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow

I agree with @DobieLover Caltrate is wonderful stuff to harden up shells that don't respond to oyster shell or layer feed. A week on Caltrate once a day always does the trick.

Best wishes with your flock!
