I have two year old buf orpingtons. I think I overused the treats :(. They are refuding their layers feed and when I fill up the feeder, they kick it and empty the feed onto the ground of the coop. There's a ton of it on the ground. I just removed the feeder and feel they can peck off the ground feed I'll they get off the treat habit. Does anyone have feedback or some cautions/guidance about it? Thanks always to all of you!

Do they free roam or in a run? Mine vary depending on weather if they are in the run or in the garden on days where they are in the garden the barely touch their pellets as they have filled up on bugs and plants. I give them treats daily and havent found this to affect how much pellets they eat. What kind of treats do you mean? Mine have alot of fruit and veg and any left overs. I wouldnt worry if they are hungry they will eat the pellets

They are in a sizzle coop. I fed them some meal worms, sunflower seeds, corn, scratch. Thanks so much!

I only give mine 1 egg cup of corn each, i was advised to by my local farm but everything else it doesnt matter how much of that they have, the more spoilt a hen the tastier the eggs!
