Definining Blue, Lavander, Lilac And Cream In Sebastopols.

I bought Frank, S2, and Beula from Holderreads as 1 blue male and two lavender females. I don't think they are lavender. I wonder if Dave knows about this?

Thank You SO much for this! I have a Cream Gander and was wondering how to get more Creams. Now I have to find a Lilac goose....

Wow!I forgot about this thread! thank you for ressurecting.

I hatched one lavender gosling for meself this year from 2 lav parents. Guess what!?!? She's not lavender! Well-the ends of her feathers are, but the rest is white. What do I have here?

My friend has a trio of white Sebbies and they produce geese that are colored almost like Splash. It must be recessive genes.

Lilac or dilute Lilac, what do you think? He is much lighter than a Lavender and does not have the darker neck of the Lilacs I have seen so maybe a Dilute Lilac?

It is so hard to tell with pictures. Because it seems hard to get the true color of the lavender or dilute lavender. I have a lavender gander and when he first gets in new feathering his color is just a bit darker then through the Summer months it gets lighter. He does have white feathering on the underside just like greys, blues, Buffs have the white on the underneath. I have not had the experience to see a Lilac yet and would love to see one in person to understand what the color really looks like up close. I also would like to see a cream in person. I believe the cream would be like a combo of lilac and diluted buff mixture on the feather's. Which Pete calls mushroom color.

The gander you have a picture of looks like a lavender maybe a bit diluted.

I have a perfect picture of a lilac that shows the grey sheen really well but I can't find it!
