definitely a rooster has yellow balls inside after slaughter-NOT eggs

I am not going to comment on the yellow balls, one way or the other.

I am sitting here amazed that you froze Jack with his gutts in him.. Not the way I do it and it ain't the way most if not everyone here does it, with the possible exception of you.

I was assuming that they gutted him and then put back into the cavity, organs that they would later use. Perhaps my assumption was incorrect.

Twentynine: Well, I did mention I was new at this? Perhaps you didn't read that part?
So, instead, you could offer helpful advice instead of snarky criticism (IF I read your tone correctly. If not, I apologize. That's how I read it). I appreciate all the help I can get.
And actually, I didn't put him in the freezer like that. My friend, who helped me, did. It is still hard for me to kill my chickens, so I have a friend help me with the hard parts - like those that will make me cry.

Potterwatch: Like I said I had help, so since those were the only things in there, I'm assuming my friend put them back in there. I know she likes the liver and heart. But I can certainly see from my description that you might think I froze him like that. I do know they have to be gutted first. I just didn't personally do that part. Should those other parts not be left inside? Maybe put in a separate baggie?

Twentynine: I regret the harshness of my response to you. No matter what you meant, I shouldn't have spoken that way. I apologize.
Potterwatch: I identified the parts as liver, gizzard, heart, and little yellow balls. Wrong again?

My questioning, the contents of the chicken that he was froze with------

Yes! I understand the crop, heart, liver, kidneys and neck, are normally removed, cleaned and returned to the bird's cavity for freezing. The reason why I questioned what I was seeing was ---- 1. Where is the crop? 2. Testicles, nope I don't save'em and never opened a chicken, store bought or otherwise, that had the testes. 3. If the testes where saved as the normal giblet parts, why save them and not the crop? 4. If they did have a mix up-- Rooster? Hen? I have never saved the unlayed eggs either.

Snarky? Nope!

Okay helpfull advice---- if that picture is of Jack, yep, he's a rooster. But I have never seen chicken testes that look quite like those. They do appear to be unlayed eggs. In hens you will usually have a large yolk then several of deminishing size, much as what is pictured.

From what I see, there are two hearts, two livers, and two undeveloped eggs. Must have been a hen processed at the same time and the eggs came from her.

The crop is not generally saved. It is a sack near the throat where food is held before being moved on down the line. The gizzard is often cleaned out and saved, but there is not one in the posted picture.
