Hi all,
I have 6 4-week old chicks.
I noticed that my salmon favorolle was sitting a lot and not walking around as much as the other chicks.
When I picked her up and looked at her closely, I noticed that she has 5 toes on each foot instead of 4.
And the small toe that should be in the back is more on the side.
Will this be a problem when she gets older?
Any suggestions or is it not a problem at all?
Thank you for any help.

Wow! Thank you! I had no idea.
So does that mean there is no correlation between the 5 toes and her sitting a lot?

There is no link to the 5 toes and her sitting. She may have an injury, a vitamin deficiency, or a leg bone or tendon issue. I would treat her and the others with poultry vitamins in the water or feed, and if you can take a picture of how she stands it might help to see what the problem might be.

Thank you again, Eggcessive.
She seems to be walking around much more now.
