We have 2 rirs. One started laying about a month ago and the other a week later. We had 1 day this week with no eggs (normal), one egg yesterday and one this morning. When cleaning up the droppings, I found this! The dropping area was a bit wetter than usual as well. I feed them a layer crumble from rural king, a free range seed mix from manna pro and they have a tray of oster and egg shells.
How concerned should I be about this?

Soft shell egg.
Not too unusual for new layers.
Cut out the seed mix.
Thanks!!! I will. I was primarily using the seeds to get the younger ones and older ones to eat together. We put them in the run together today with supervision and it wasn't too bad. Some pecking and chasing but nothing too aggressive.

10 week olds shouldn't be eating layer feed. Better to have the entire group on grower or all flock or non medicated starter.
When I moved the little ones in (yesterday), I switched both feeders to chick grow starter feed. I also have a try of dried egg and oyster shells in there.
We had another odd egg this morning. It seems to have some membrane on the outside? The shell is hard though.

Pic?
Membrane on outside of a hard shell happens when a shelled egg backs up in the system and gets membrane applied again.
Sounds like you may have a layer with a wonky system.
