I had my first 100% hatch rate this week! I was so excited! Unfortunately one isn't in great shape! Don't get me wrong it eats and drinks and swims... But can't walk right... It walks on both (elbows) both feet are curled up? It was the last to hatch and took about 30 hrs till I eventually had to intervene (I know I know) but the yolk was fully absorbed and everything seemed to go swimmingly! All except the legs... My guy tells me it's because she was I. The eggs too long.... Can some one help!? What should I do? I keep seeing posts about making little shoes but I can't even get her to straighten her legs at all. I don't see how shoes will help.

My first thoughts are, be patient, be creative.

Next: Start her on supplements of B vitamins. Some that are recommended are plain niacin capsules 100 to 150 mg per gallon of drinking water (Holderread), brewer's yeast (don't remember if it was Holderread or others), and some members like to use a B Complex capsule, and I would use the amount of niacin as a guide.

That will help her little nervous system and may help the legs move.

Look at this page for some ideas on braces.

Please keep us updated and be patient with us. I for one have so much going on I cannot spend as much time scanning the forum as I used to.

So PM me if you don't hear from me - sometimes I am outside for hours and hours, but I will check in here and on email.

One day at a time.
