This is a pic from my 9-week old Gold Brabanter hen. I just noticed her toe today. Not sure if it is now apparent because their larger or I just really missed it all this time. Anyway, should I have any concerns? She gets along just fine--no issues whatsoever. I purchased 5 and one died on way home. I exchanged it then another died a day later. I just kept the four at that point. I also purchased 5 Plymouth Rocks at the same time,which are all fine. None of the other Brabanter's issues.
You can barely see in the photo, but there is a little nail sticking out by the deformity. I didn't know if it could get impacted or something?
