Dehydrated ducks

Hey! My ducks aren’t but I just want to know how to know if they are dehydrated

If they're thirsty. If there's fresh water and they aren't drinking, they're fine

okay! Sorry I’m asking if there’s visible signs cause this lady on Instagram is abusing her duck and refusing to treat his extremely bad bumblefoot... we’ve reported over and over but I was told that the duck looks dehydrated but I’m not sure what that means... so I wanted to look for signs of it in her post but google wasn’t helpful. There account is forky the duck btw. Mines @duck_raising

Soley determining hydration levels by a picturer would be a hard task to do unless the bird is dehydrated to the point of passing. You may be able to see tacky eyes, mouth, pale skin, overall lethargy, etc.

When my vet looks for dehydration in an exam she pulls up an eyelid gently with the pad of her thumb, without touching the eye. If the eyelid snaps back to the normal position quickly there is no or very little dehydration. If it returns slowly there is dehydration.
