Delaware 8-9 weeks. Pullet or Cockerel?

Rooster laid an egg.

Well, instead of another poor rooster with a girls name. Meet, Buddy the Hen. She started laying big brown eggs this week. Very big comb and a very heavy bird.

Not a Delaware. She's a Columbian Rock.

Co-Op must of had them mismarked. I'm not complaining. 10 sexed chicks and only one ended up as a rooster.

So glad I found this thread. Flossy (pic on one of my other threads) looks almost identical. Huge comb and waddle. Was told she would for sure be a roo. Lays eggs though! So yay since I already had a roo. She was always super observant and curious even as a chick. She still is and I love her for it. Always the first to check out what's going on. Love this breed!!

I got 4 sexed Delaware’s and 2 of them are roosters. Your outcome seems better then mine. Maybe Delaware chicks are really hard to sex out.View attachment 1766067
