Btw some how people can tell the gender of chickens before they hatch so it’s basically never to early
I’d love to know how to do that! From what I understand the hen is the one who determines gender with each egg so it’d be fantastic to know which eggs were which ahead of time
 
Yes that is an issue I have had that problem recently 6 Idaho reds 1roo 6 eastereggers 1roo 3bantams 1roo so it doesn’t always work but it usually does
 
Yeah the eggs and hanging upside down is bs. Impossible. The breeds which the tractor supply tell all have an autosexing trait. Either feather devopment or coloration. The hatcheries use vent sexing, where they look up the vent for genitals. It’s the only method that’s 100% accurate for any breed. Don’t try it, you have to force them to poo to do it.
