Would you mind waiting a decade?

I want to get in line too, but I am so far away, and this does not seem like a breed that would be easy for a beginner breeder, as there are so many traits to work on.

Last night I was picking the Dels off the top of the sliding shelter and putting them inside (to avoid the owls, they have roosts in the shelter but prefer the top of the shelter) The Del pullet objected to being manhandled and turned around and gave me a good peck after I set her in the shelter. Well, I suppose you have to admire a girl who lets you know how she feels.

Still a month from the fall cull here.....I have to reduce my 11-12 cockerels to 2 or 3. It is sad as they are all so colorful and personable.

Boy, real nice looking birds...I just love the look of them. I decided to wait till spring to get a few more ..but those pics make me a little impatient...

I think you should ship all those eggs to me. Just think how great it would make you feel to have some of your babies clear over here in CA!!!

For now, though, I'll just have to be content with my hatchery girl - adorable temperament/personality, but not much to look at!
