I was thinking Columbian Wyandotte to. He sure has the looks and the build. I have a hatchery quality Wyandotte that has a single comb, its not to uncommon.

I wonder if this chicken is a Columbian Wyandotte that has a single comb. Hatchery Wyandottes sometimes have single combs (wrong for the breed, but genetically possible.) And Hoovers does carry Columbian Wyandottes.

That would explain a bird that has Columbian patterning, single comb, clean feet, and does not have the white barring that a Delaware should.

That seems very likely possible.

I done it I finally done it. I moved her as she finally told me she was a he. I saw her try to mate one of my hens. So now we know Beverley is a boy. Her name is now Braley
