Delawares from kathyinmo

Here is one of Kathy's F'4's that I will be using again this year, just finished molt and looking pretty sweet. One of her daughters who I may use, undecided as of yet...... And the broody surprise Delawegger (Mom was a BCM/Ameraucana cross/Dad Del.). She would not pass for a Del. anymore!! She does have the best coloured tail of all of my F'5 pullets though :(

The hen is amazing! The face on the delawegger is priceless. Have you got your breeding pens all figured out yet? Do you know if/when you want to borrow a boy? Which one?

That first cockerel we picked, with the better barred tail, I'm liking him more every day. I still have hope for some of the pullets ... if I'm not picky about tail color.

The hen lays a very dark olive coloured egg. I am guessing with the Del. Dad causing a lighter egg, she will lay a pretty green

I do not have the Del. pen figured out yet. May want to borrow your Cock bird and Cockeral when you are done with them for the season not sure. You need to do what you are going to do with them first just in case something happened at my place. Going to spend some time today going over my cockerals but I don't think I have anything as nice as your two.

Oh good, thanks for letting me know! I assume you fared ok?

Yes thank you!

We had about three inches of rain in a day. Walt had something like nine where he lives and more wind.

It was a very wet storm but Thank God we did not have the predicted wind here. That would have been very bad. I do need to do some work on the roof of one coop.
