What I want to know is why bother to delete the original post? What's done is done, and everyone knows. God made all creatures...even the ugly ones. That doesn't give us the right to kill them, we're supposed to be taking care of them.....

im like the "devils advocate".....what if a bear is after your kid? still protect the bear? didnt god say we are to protect our livestock? did the sheep herders sin by killing coyotes?
and how do you take "care" of your chickens if you let them get eaten?,,,,,,,, god gave us brains to use, he didnt say nowhere in the bible to stand by and let bad things happen to you, or your children, or anything in your "care".

vultures are poisonous

I read somewhere that someone's little Terrier ate some vulture and the dog died.
Somewhere in Cali-I think.

ew.

my friend shot a bear that was after his family and horses. fined MAJOR by the state and he was saving his wife. that is the law. it's not always in our favor, but set forth (in faith) for the common good.

where is it implied we can only shoot it if it's an ugly creature? I never said any such thing. What I said was "I wouldn't worry about it all that much. Turkey vultures are the most disgusting bird I've ever seen in my life!" I'll still stand by that too. I never said they are exclusive to shoot or even the "ugly creatures" I just said I wouldn't worry about it! & Ashes to ashes dust to dust I'd rather see thing buried than picked apart in the streets etc.... Ewwww

What you did say was that your god made the lovely little hawks, etc to take care of nasty little vermin like mice, etc. You ignored MY question, however. Who do you credit with the creation of the vulture and the nasty little vermin the hawks eat?

I suppose you could always start a bury the roadkill program in your area and see how well it goes over.

Better get the shovel ready.

What I said to the OP was to give some *comfort* and or for her not to worry about something that was in the past &/or that she cannot undo. When we all started giving opinions on the hawks & the vultures those where just impressions of or why we had our opinions of said animals I never said it's ok to shoot them because I dislike them. I dislike many animals (& a few humans too) I don't think they should just all be shot......

Your question to me? I missed it & I do beg your pardon but it's been a rather emotional day for me as well as most of the people on these boards because we've had prey on our chickens & well I had the lovely task of cleaning up the carnage. Pardon me if I stepped on your toes by not liking the same animal as you & for having the nerve to try to give comfort to someone who had *just said* she didn't think she could feel worse than she did until she came here & posted...... Heaven help me for actually trying to ease some of her guilt....

Your question to me??? I'm not going to answer you or even go back to try to find the question. You don't even know me & yet you sit here with this nasty attitude looking to attack someone over the fact that I do not like the same bird as you? Oh well ........

getting 'personal' is going to get this closed. let's watch our words...attacking a person is a no-no. argue apples to apples not person to person, please!

Well I imagine she deleted it because 1st she was warned to do so because of the cops ending up at her door & 2nd because she felt threatened and attacked here. That was one of the reasons I'd addressed her to begin with & guess what...
