I am sorry you have been overwhelmed with pms and such asking for your address(and can totally understand you wanting to keep your town and address private! Things are bad enough without a lynching mob!) ...
I imagine that such can be quite scary however I am sure it was meant as a sign of support for you ...members who check in here daily and chat with each other regularly tend to think of bYC as a family and get very protective of fellow members... I do hope you have no ill feelings from your experience towards the group as a whole.
That being said I hope you resolve this ... I cannot imagine how you must be feeling :aww

I've read the posts and was appalled those people would do such a thing however you must do what you feel is necessary. It is not uncommon for ducks and other poultry to miss their wings for some inhumane manner or an accident and they can lead productive lives. I know our local zoo have a pelican whose wing was mangled by poachers down in Florida and with TLC, he made it and got a secured home in the zoo.

I live in Redneck Heaven myself and I know there are some crackheads out here that WOULD do something like that for fun.
However...I have seen animals that were inside a pen or fence have wings, ears and legschewed off by rats and other predators when they were sleeping too close to the wire. Is that a possibility?

Since Wildsky has asked on 3 seperate posts about the pics, I too would like to inquire about pics since you appear to be ignoring her.

I read your original posts regarding the ducks having their wings removed & you finding them ALIVE.

It seems to me that with the high rate of metabolism that all avian species share, that these ducks would most likely have died from blood loss or shock.

Call me a skeptic, but without pics, & your lack of acknowledging Wildskys requests after you said you were going to post them, I find this so called incident to be HIGHLY improbable. But that's just me.

Wouldn't be the first time this forum was LIED to.

I think we are starting to flame and I am sure we don't want that.

The OP said she was getting flack and that was why she deleted her posts.

I can tell you from experience, ducks can and do get their wings ripped off. Some do die, but many more survive.
