Hi. I'm trying to delete old messages and when I hit Delete, this is the message I get. Do you know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

Bad HTTP_REFERER. You were referred to this page from an unauthorized source. If the problem persists please make sure that 'Base URL' is correctly set in Admin/Options and that you are visiting the forum by navigating to that URL. More information regarding the referrer check can be found in the PunBB documentation.

Not sure what the problem could be...I just went and deleted several PM's without a problem. Could you have possibly hit a wrong button?

If you are having this problem it is usually because you are browsing the forum through a proxy or firewall of some sort.

Norton Personal Firewall and Kerio Personal Firewall are ones that are known to cause a problem. Also, Popup/ad stoppers are also known to do this in some cases (most of them don't though).

One member that resolved the problem said, "My ZoneAlarm Pro (firewall) was the problem. Thank you!"

I've tried everything that I can think of to clear some of my private messages and gotten nowhere. My firewall is turned off. I also though it might be because I was using Netscape and tried doing it in Mozilla Firefox, but that didn't work either.
I just now tried to delete them using MS Internet Explorer. I still could not delete old messages.
BTW, I never have seen any copies of messages that I sent to others. Is that normal?

At the lower right corner of the message there will be the word, "Delete". Click on that, then it will come up again with the message in a different box. It will ask again if you want to delete or cancel.
just click "Delete" again.

Message disappears.
