I hatched one deleward chick (long story has to why only one hatched). He is about 10 weeks old now and solid white. Will the black feathering come through as he matures?

Sorry I can't answer that. Mine showed black at about 3 weeks.

Are you sure it's a "he"? And, the obvious question: are you sure it's a Delaware?

Some of the Dellie girls are very lightly marked and never get much color. I have one like that, but she does have some markings in her hackles and tail.

It's definately a rooster. I ordered the eggs on e-bay so I guess I can only trust the seller that they were delewares. He is big for is age so I do believe he is a delaware it's he is just as white as snow, not a fleck of black.

Never saw a Delaware with NO black, especially a cockerel. In fact, he should be quite colorful as a chick.
