Delightful duh!

    I've been operating under the assumption that I had 3 black copper marans pullets and 2 cockerels. At one month old, there are some pretty dramatic colouring differences. Louis has copper coming in all over. Jean-Phillipe does not, moreover I just discovered a white spot on 'his' underside. J-P has never been easy to handle, so I missed it for a whole month! I'm pretty sure Jean-Phillipe will hereafter be known as Joan. More brown eggs, yeah!!

    Congrats! I'd always take finding out you have more pullets than finding out you have more cockerals!
