Ive had my two BO hens for just over a year now ! Hetty started laying four months ago and betty three months ago! Ever since the girls have turned completely demonic! I can’t cope!! All day long they make a racket, before laying, whilst laying. For four hours after laying,they’re out of control! The smallest thing seems to set them off, if I section off part of the garden, move a plant pot. They seem to want attention 24/7, it’s like having two toddlers, they will make this noise (very different from the I’ve layed an egg noise) and they will make it until I go out to them, I’m trying to break the habit by throwing a small splash of water at them, which worked initially but now seems completely in effective I really don’t want to have to get rid of my girls!! Does anyone have any advice!?

Sounds like boredom, mabey let them free-range an hour or two in the evening.

Stop doing that.
Do you take treats when you go out?
Do you only have to screamers...or other birds too?

How big is their coop and run?

my girls are like toddlers too, following me around for hugs and pets

but they aren't loud, and its not annoying. Pictures?
