Luckily we have not seen it again. We moved the coop to the back center of our yard instead of the side yard, but I’ve heard they will return once they find a coop. Is that true?

Where are you located? In some states you can shoot foxes, bobcats, skunks and other predators. Check the game rule and see which ones are fair game. I live in North Alabama and here if one of those shows up and I get the chance there will be a loud noise and the problem goes away. If not, electricity.
