It's day 23 of incubation for my Runner eggs, including one "denty" egg that rolled out of the coop onto the ground at collection time. :barnie

I haven't had luck with getting damaged eggs to hatch in the past, but am hoping that quick application of Liquid Bandage (thanks, @ChickenCanoe) to the dent will enable this one to make it to the finish line! :fl

Candling should show if the denty egg is developing. If so, the duckling may have trouble turning in the egg in order to hatch. An assisted hatch might be necessary. Good luck.

Thanks! I've candled every 7 days, and it was still going (moving) at day 21, so it's looking promising. As to the assisted hatch (if needed) - I have had a fair amount of experience there. Will let you know how it goes!

Fingers crossed that little denty still hatches for you! :fl
I hope you'll post updates, I would love to know how well the liquid bandage works out!

Thanks so much! Will definitely post an update - I think s/he should be a fawn & white Runner...hopefully, we'll know in a couple of days!

Not the kind of update I had hoped to post, but Denty ultimately didn't make it. While developed, s/he never pipped internally.
Just one duckling hatched :barnie, which is very unusual...and it's pretty lonely. I also have some month olds, but the size difference is significant, so this little one will have to snuggle its fuzzy bear until I can either find another duckling or it's big enough to join the older group (which won't be anytime soon).

Would I attempt to hatch a damaged egg again? You bet - one day, a "denty" egg will hatch!

Aww, I'm sorry to hear denty didn't hatch but congratulations on the cute baby! I hope you can find a little buddy for it!
