I just got off the phone with my 21 year old son...
He called to say good bye... he is deploying to Iraq tonight...I cannot verblize what I am feeling right now...part of me wants to cry wants to scream NONONONO!!! wants to tear Bush apart from limb to limb ... this is my baby, my youngest son who I carried in my womb and was in labor for 4 1/2 month with never knowing if he would servive to be full term...bringing him home from the hospital when he only weighed 4 lbs...nurturing him so he would grow up to be a good kind man...
another part of me is proud of him volunteering to go into the army knowing he would be put in harms way...praying that he would change his mind... knowing he wouldn't...

he is such a wonderful young man...I am ask you all to pray for him and all the young men and women who are traveling this night...Pam

Tell him we said thanks! I have had two cousins (that are like brothers to me) serve as Marines in Iraq now and they served their country well. Best of luck to you and I hope the time will go by fast. It is a hard thing but you (and he) can do it.

Its men and women like him that make me PROUD to be an American! May he return home safe and sound as well as all our armed forces! You have my prayers!

You are very blessed to have a son like him and we are all blessed to have him standing on the wall for us. That said I can't imagine how scared you must be. He is gorgeous and what a smile! He will be in all our prayers. And rest assured God watches over soldiers extra much. Ask any one of them and they will tell ya so. Give him a hug and tell him thanks.

Father God, put Your wings around this young man and the other troops shipping out. Lord, You have a plan for this man and the others. Thank You for providing these men and women that protect my family and other families, sacrificing all. Give them peace, protection and perseverance. I ask all this in Your name, Amen.

Thank you for being the Mom of a Soldier. Thank you for being selfless in the end. Keep us posted on your son. Pass my thanks on to him and let him know that prayers will be said over him every day!

our 3 Nephews were in Iraq...all brothers....2 are now home, 1 has been sent to Afghanistan...

They grow up too fast Momma-- but it's obvious you did a good job.
But You'll never 'let go" because you are a good Mom..and that lasts forever.

I can only imagine what you feel right now, because I have anxiety over my SIL who is in Iraq right now. He is coming home in 2 months. I pray that both these boys get back here safe and healthy.
