A few months ago a had a JG who i named 'Moma' Went broody and hatched 16/16 eggs. She was the best Moma chicken i've ever seen. I swear she'd sit on anything! So she had gone broody recently and so we gave her some eggs, All of them went bad so we tried breaking her.. But nope! She decided to brood for 6 days in a metal crate without any bedding. So i just took her out and kept her out free ranging with 3 other chickens. She wont leave her brooding station at all now! I have to kick her out for her to eat/drink. So i Ordered 10 Ducklings (Yes ducks) and they're coming anywhere between Tuesday and Thursday. Until then is there anything i can do to keep her spirits up? I placed a few golf balls under her. but thats all i can think of.

You could buy some dummy eggs, make the nest comfortable and don't stress her. That should help!
Thanks for the reply. Shes in a small brood for now. Just went to tractor supply and got some supplies to build her a bigger brooding box for her and the ducks once they get here.
