depressed, picked-on, laying without shell- please help!

We brought her inside by herself yesterday evening, and the first thing she did was eat lots, and as I checked on her throughout the night, she seemed to be asleep the whole time. She does seem rather thin compared to the others, so I'm guessing she just wasn't eating as much as she should have. She still looks depressed, though, and is all puffed up.

I'll see how she does over the week, and then consider the next step.

Thanks for all your concern!

Am I figuring right that she is around 7-8months old? If she has not been getting to eat like the rest that could very much be her problem. I am happy to hear she ate good for you. Have you ever wormed your girls? Being puffed up makes me think something else is going on with her, can you get to a feed store easily? might want to pick up some poultry drench to put into her water. Electrolytes are also good. Try giving her some plain yogurt to see if she'll eat it most chickens love it. You've checked her over good for mites and lice? The bugs will bring them down fast also. Food like some scrambled egg or cheese or low sodium cat food just added to her feed would help to get her health back. You put out grit and extra calcium[oyster shell] for them?
