Depressed Rooster

I'll post a pic, but I've dealt with quite a few illnesses and I can't pin any on him. And he's physically healthy (I looked him over very thoroughly this morning), so that's why I thought the issue might be psychological.

Here he is. He's walking around nicely as you can see, but once I pick him up he tolerates almost anything. It's weird, but it's an attitude problem basically.

I'll mention that right around this behavior started, one of our hens died from a crop issue. Could he be sad from her loss?
