I'm probably the latest one to read this Derpdate,
I've fallen behind on the entire site though, but I always come back around!! Glad to hear that Derp is showing improvements!! I think about her frequently, and guess what?
My mom is finally ordering some Salmon Faverolles. Either from Ideal Poultry or she just found an ad on Craigslist for some birds down past Milwaukee that are laying age hens. Its exciting. I just love their colors and the full lush beard and muffs!!

Nothing much to update on, but I will try to get some photos soon! It's very hot out this week and the hens (Derp included) are not very excited about posting for photos until it cools off a bit.

Thanks for the update I'm glad Derp is still being her Derp self. She still has lots of fans and we just worry when we haven't heard anything. I understand about pics it's hot here too and the chickens aren't to happy about it.

It is very hot in Missouri this week, also, and the chickens are camped out in front of a fan! The big Brahma lady loves it most.

It's been hot, humid and miserable here in Kansas all week. Good thing my girls' coop is under a huge tree!
