This is Derperella's normal nestbox routine. She must make herself a depression as deep and perfectly circular as possible-- even if she has already gone through all the hay and is at the bottom of the box already.
This video was shot while she still had wry neck, which is why her neck seems crooked. It did not effect her daily life but only made her look silly. She has since recovered after a lot of time intensive TLC.

That is almost even worse since you have to wait so long!
I do remember reading a while back that Derp hadn't been laying for a few months, so I assume now that she is laying regularly in her own derpy way?
