Wow! I have finally made it to the end of this thread. It took me about four and half days from beginning to end LOL. I read the funny stories and the Derpy parts to my kids. Now I will randomly hear one of them say "Hurrrr!" and all of them will giggle and stare at nothing, say "I luvs chair!", or quote something else to that effect. The people in this whole thread are so wonderful, warm, and supportive. The range of emotion I have felt with each up and down is incredible. It's like each chicken is an old friend almost at this point; sort of the way you bond with characters in a good book except these are real lives. I'm still sad over Trousers. He truly was the perfect roo. He was well-rounded in that he was an old soul: kind, smart, gentle, loving, and accepted each hens' antics as not only acceptable, but lovable. Plus, that coloring was brilliant! It's too bad they don't breed his mom anymore for that reason. I'd pay extra for one like him! I'm so relieved that Baron is doing so much better. I was almost panicking when I thought that he wouldn't make it there for a minute! I've also learned so much from your thread. Thank you so much Nambroth for allowing us all to peek into your coop and get to know your little flock. They are truly a joy!
Thank you so much! There are days when I am feeling stressed and I wonder, goodness, is it really worth it to sit here and write all this? Do I really want to spend an hour resizing and cropping photos? Does anyone care?
Due to posts like this, I know that people do, which is amazing and wonderful.
