I always love reading up on Derp's adventures when I come back!! :D (I was on Vacation visiting family and doing multiple chores this past few weeks.). Hanging around my own chickens, I have come to the conclusions that I may have myself a Derpy Girl. Either that or she's just silly. Thelma is an Easter Egger hen. She wasn't always... well Derpy. She used to be normal. But then she got into something that made her sick to the point of walking like a Sailor. We got her at Point of Lay, and about 2 weeks later she got sick. we tried everything to make her better. I thought maybe it was Botulism, so we dosed her with an Epsom Salt flush. It took a long recovery period, but Thelma healed to the point of only a slight limp. Now you would think, with cramming medicine down her throat, she would see us cocming and RUN The other way. Not so. Thelma is the first to run up to us. But unlike any normal chicken, she likes to dig alone... Near the road. Twice I have had to run across the road and fetch Thelma (Aka Princess Derpington) Back. Luckily she runs right up to me, so its not hard. She is so happy go lucky, always talking, always. Buut, the other birds tend to ignore her all together. like, maybe if we are still, she'll go away? Kinda thing. I'm so glad Thelma made it. She really likes my dad, she'll follow him places. Her sister and her are the first two to come running when they see the hose... and they proceed to eat the mud. Louise (Her sister) somehow manages to keep the beard clean of mud. thelma? not so much. She has a muddy beard or Filthy muffs every time i See her, but she seems so happy, I can't help but laugh. And Yesterday, my Derpy Girl laid her first EGG!! It was elongated, and no, she didn't lay it on another chicken like Derperella did, But...She. Laid. An . Egg!! :D

My dad's response; "THelma, is this yours?" And thelma just looked at him like "I dunnno.. " Clucked, and walked away. (She also likes to run around the horse paddock... When we first got her she spent most of her time on a wooden ladder.)
