Derperella, the (weird) Faverolles, & Friends

Has Derp had anymore invisible chicks?

No, thank goodness!! Being a crazy broody is not good for her, as she always loses a lot of weight and sometimes her neck goes more wry. I hope we can get through this summer with no brooding. Coho used to set that off, so fingers crossed!

I have to say that I love the Derp stories and pictures. While I think she is cute I would rather have a not so 'derpy' faverolles hen. I do have an easter egger that looks like the cutie Millie someone posted a while back. No black beard like Derp so she is my Millie look-a-like. I named her Miss Muffette for this reason.

I did add a faverolles to my last chick order so we will see how she turns out. She is in the brooder with the other chicks right now. I can't figure out how to tell the 3 day old faverolles from the 3 day old brahmas...!

Maybe when we are more comfortable with the idea of a rooster my husband will let me have a cochin roo.
