Love the story! And I'm wondering if her stares are directly related to her offset head. I know that when, at least my chickens, try to look at something right in front of their beak you see their pupils expand and contract from them trying to focus. And since her head is a little skew it might be hard for her to focus in on things. hope this doesn't spoil any of the intrigue, GO Derperella!
