Derperella, the (weird) Faverolles, & Friends

Up date on Karen's babies. I have had one hatch so far. It is such a cutie that I thought Id share. Its not old enough to know if it will be derpy or not. Karen, the mama, has only one fifth toe and this baby has one on each foot but its so dark...not light like most Faverolles, even Karen and her brother when babies. Its going to interesting to see how it looks as it matures.

Rooster? What makes you think so? Normally the coloration gives it away on Faverolles but with a black one???

LOL, I don't know! I am just saying! I love roosters. I want it to be a rooster.

Ya know....I LOVE roos too!!! Most seem to like hens but I find that the roosters have so much more personality and they are always interested in what Im doing. The hens just want to know if I have any treats when I go out in the yard. If no treats then they are off and running....the roos like to participate regardless of whether it includes treats!
I wish this pic was clearer but it is so cute. It looks like this same baby chick with loaded diapers!

I am completely in LOVE with Derperella!!

She sounds like the sweetest chicken & I will be adding some Salmon Fav's to my flock this spring all because of Derp & the wonderful writing skills of the fud lady.

Ha! I won't! However, I don't think I'll be adding to my flock until I have my own house. I have a small house, and I already have 6 rabbits outside so, space is tight. So excited!
