Derperella, the (weird) Faverolles, & Friends

Thought I'd share a pic of my Phoebe

Phoebe is quite derpy. She spends hours sitting on top of the ladder watching the world go by. She is super sweet and follows me about the yard. Yesterday while planting petunias in the garden a bloom fell off, and Phoebe promptly sat down and stared, after about 10 minutes she began peeping at it and I could only imagine the conversation she was having with it.
She also love to follow my 6 month old kitten around and the two of meow and peep back and forth gossiping about the goings on of the farm animals that day!

I love her lots and I'm so happy I got faverolles!

Phoebe is beautiful. I'm sure it's not her fault that her features line up perfectly. She sounds derpy anyway. I love that she stares at fallen blossoms. Maybe she thinks it fell out of its nest

Derperella, the (weird) Salmon Faverolles

AThank you all! Phoebe is a doll. She earned her name because she reminds me of phoebe from the T.V show 'friends'!
Her chick muffs are so big that I must trim them otherwise they cover her eyes completly

She is adorable! My Fav girl Shirley has a mission to trip me on a daily basis! She is always under my feet and then will pull on my pantsleg because she wants to be held.

Because of birds like Derp and Phoebe, Faverolles have made their way on my list of Chickens I wish to have when I'm able to have some. My must have breeds are Rhode Island Reds (because of my mom's childhood hen, Bitty), Faverolles, and D'Uccles. There are a few other breeds I'd like to own too, but those three have my interest the most.
