Just sat and read about 1/2 of the posts--
off to read more about Derp! :)

Just sharing something I recently read....
Did you all know that Faverolles are prone to become over weight? If confined in a run for instance. I notice that my one pure Faverolle hen, Honey is ALWAYS hungry. If Im sitting out with the flock she will come peck me on my back to get my attention in hopes of getting a treat from me. When I bring out food to the flock I always announce, "whose hungry" and guess who is always the first one at my feet...yep, Honey!

mines kinda underweight I think. her breast bone sticks out bad. Of course I think thats from refusing to leave her nest to eat...broody. again. 3rd time since november
